Version 0.11.0 released
April 20 2008
Version 0.11.0 has (finally) been released. This is the
exact same code as the previous interim build (080414).
If you have not been following the interim builds,
there are some significant enhancements in this
version, most notably:
* Merge with ConfDynagen, which adds the dynamic configuration mode (among other things)
* Pemu inclusion for PIX emulation
* Much enhanced error reporting that should make it easier to spot errors in NET files
* Many bug fixes.
Big thanks to everyone who assisted and contributed code for release, including:
Contributing developer: Pavel Skovajsa (of confDynagen)
Pemuwrapper: Thomas Pani
Pemu: Milen Svobodnikov
The GNS3 team
And of course Christophe Filot as the author of Dynamips.
See the release notes and the tutorial for all the details. Download packages for Linux, OS X, and Windows here.

Updated Interim builds posted (080411)
April 13 2008
Again, another set of interim builds have been posted
for all platforms (see the release notes for changes).
This update mainly includes fixes for dynamic
configuration mode and ghostios, and some enhancements
to the output of the idlepc commands.
If no show-stopper bugs are found, this code will become the 0.11.0 release.

New: Interim 0.11.0 build posted
December 11 2007
It's been a while since the last release, partially
because there are some significant changes with the
upcoming version. I've been working with Pavel Skovajsa
to merge the confDynagen codebase into Dynagen, which
adds a lot of great features like dynamic
reconfiguration, Pemu server support (aka PIX
emulation), and more. At the same time other features
were added, bugs fixed, and error handling is vastly
improved. But major changes means the possibility of
major new bugs. So to get the current code into the
hands of folks who can play with it and shake those
bugs out I've posted a Windows installer and a linux
tarball of the current SVN snapshot (OS X DMG will be
posted soon).
Now the code seems pretty good to us, but if you don't want to chance wrecking your CCIE studying schedule you may want to wait for the the released version. There is a good chance that the interim builds will crash on your important NET files, burn down your garage, or maim small children. Plus the documentation has not been updated, so you are on your own to figure it it (but Pavel wrote some tutorials at http://code.google.com/p/confdynagen/wiki/pemututorial and http://code.google.com/p/confdynagen/wiki/configmodetutorial). But if you do decide to play with the new code please post about your experiences on Hacki's forum.
You can download the interim builds via the "Interim builds" link on the right hand side of the page.
Big thanks to Milen Svobodnikov for writing Pemu, Thomas Pani for writing Pemuwrapper, and to Pavel for his significant contributions to this release. And of course, continued thanks to Chris for Dynamips.
